Craft: Jar hats
Gather some coordinating (or not) fabrics, and ¼ inch elastic. Cut two rounds, right sides together.
Sew around the perimeter, leaving a 1.5 inch gap. Use that space to turn the round right side out and then press.
Sew a full circle about ½ an inch away from the edge to create a channel for the elastic.
Use a bodkin to ease the elastic through your channel. Sew the ends together with a few passes back and forth.
Close the channel.
Trim your threads.
These are washable, reversible, and easily adaptable to become bowl covers in all sizes.
